All bids received will be time stamped and must be received by 11:00 A.M. on the bid opening day. Bid opening will commence promptly at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesdays (see schedule below for non-opening dates).  Please confirm with the City Clerk's Office the location of the bid opening.  LATE BIDS/PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

As evidence of good faith and guarantee that contract will be entered into should award be made thereon, a bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany bid in accordance with City Code Sec. 10-103 Security of Bids Generally (Read More). City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part, and the bidders shall have the right to appeal any decision to the City Council.

Please ensure that your company's name and address are also on the front of your sealed bid.

Responsibilities of the Bidder include:

  • To carefully review the bid documents and instructions.
  • To assure bids and proposals are received in the City of Omaha City Clerk's Office by opening date and time.
  • To check the Purchasing Department and the Public Works website for any addenda or amendments issued prior to the opening date and time.

Bid tabs will be posted on the Purchasing Department's website by 2:00 P.M. on the Friday after they are opened. Request for Proposal tabs (RFPs) will also be posted as they are available on the Purchasing Department’s website.
